About NailPause Guides

Why these guides exist

Nail biting and cuticle picking advice is often reduced to “just stop” or a single deterrent. NailPause Guides focuses on practical moments: noticing an automatic movement, responding to an urge, caring for damaged skin, and restarting after a lapse.

Our writing standard

  • Answer the reader’s question before mentioning NailPause.
  • Use specific, repeatable steps instead of cure promises.
  • List reputable health or research sources for factual claims.
  • Separate general education from individual medical advice.
  • Include signs that warrant qualified professional care.
  • Review articles when the product or cited guidance changes.

Who writes these pages

The NailPause editorial team is the app development team that publishes this website. These pages explain practical self-help exercises and our product. We are not presenting ourselves as a medical clinic or claiming that the guides have been independently reviewed by a clinician.

Each article identifies its sources and update date. An update may cover editorial clarity, links, or product information; it does not mean a clinical review took place. If a qualified professional reviews a future article, we will identify that person and the scope of their review.

Commercial disclosure

NailPause Guides is published by the developer of NailPause. Guide pages may link to the NailPause App Store product page. NailPause is a self-help and educational iPhone app, not a medical device or a substitute for professional care.
